Sony a7SIII

Sony's mirrorless video-centric beast. Great 4K, reduced rolling shutter, good low-light performance, flip screen, no notable overheating issues, no recording limit. Good for vlogging and professional use, including weddings. Also takes solid 12MP photos.

Canon R5

Canon's next-generation mirrorless continuation of the legendary 5D series. Arguably a stronger contender with photos than with videos, it still excels as an all-purpose hybrid (as long as you don't plan on using the 8K video).

Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens

Sony's new G-Master 50mm FE-mount lens. One of the best 50mm lenses on the market right now, especially when paired with one of Sony's top cameras. Decent weight, great sharpness and bokeh. Good for photo and video.

Canon RF 28mm-70mm f/2

A beast of a mid-range zoom. Goes all the way to f/2, which is like having the luxury of carrying multiple prime lenses at once. I have used for video with great results, but prefer it for photos.

Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens for Sony E

Wide-angle zoom lens for Sony FE mount. Lightweight and reasonably affordable for the performance. Good for photo and video. Pretty close minimum focusing distance. I have used this lens for vlogging and travel photography.

Canon RF 50mm f/1.2

Beautiful 50mm prime. If you have any experience using Canon's old EF prime, you understand the magic. This is even better. Great bokeh, contrast and sharpness. Awesome portrait and versatile walk-around lens.
